Michalis Hatzigiannis është diplomuar në Akademinë e Muzikës (Royal College of London) për piano, kitarë dhe muzikë.
Ai ka prezantuar, për 20 vitet e fundit, një muzikë unike të ndjeshme plot melodi, stil të ri dhe kështu ka krijuar identitetin e tij.
Sot ai përbën një pjesë të rëndësishme të skenës muzikore moderne, duke krijuar karakterin e tij personal, qoftë përmes interpretimit të tij karakteristik dhe nëpërmjet kompozimit të muzikës për vete dhe për këngëtarë të tjerë.
Michalis Hatzigiannis ka bërë bashkëpunime me disa nga artistët më të njohur grek si Haris Alexiou, George Dalaras, Dimitra Galani, Paschalis Terzis, Glykeria etj.
Michalis Hatzigiannis ka fituar shumë çmime muzikore dhe shitjet e albumeve të tij tejkalojnë 3 milion kopje. Ai ka bërë qindra koncerte në Greqi, Qipro si edhe nga Amerika në Evropë dhe nga Australia në Afrikën e Jugut.
Në prill të vitit 2004 ai përfaqësoi Qipron në ceremoninë zyrtare të zgjerimit të BE që u zhvillua në Varshavë për të shënuar pranimin e 10 vendeve të reja në BE.
Gjatë Verës Olimpike për Greqinë, Michalis ka marrë pjesë në Ceremonitë e Hapjes dhe Mbylljes së Lojrave Olimpike – Athinë 2004.
Ai shpesh ka kontribuar për qëllime bamirësie dhe është ambasador për ELEPAP (organizatë bamirëse jofitimprurëse që mbështet fëmijët me aftësi të kufizuara mendore).
